Pete Lima is a fantastic musician but spends most of his time DJing as the aptly-named Handsome Pete. Catch DJ HP at various gigs around Providence as well as emceeing a monthly karaoke night for hipsters (well, not on purpose, but that’s who seem to attend the most) at Nolan’s Corner Pub. Or, if you’re Moonie, catch him holding a plant during downtime at a record sale.
Sometimes I’m lucky enough to run into Anthony Loffredio, talented singer and songwriter for the band Barn Burning, with or without his dog Moses. He informed me that Moonie is a Van Halen fan (who knew?), so they had fun posing together with an album. I hope to catch some of Anthony’s solo or Barn Burning shows again soon, with or without my nude lil’ dude!
Moonie got to meet Matt Rozzero, talented drummer for The Brother Kite and The ‘Mericans.
Turns out they had a lot in common.
May 2nd is Independent Bookstore Day! Moonie and I hit a local favorite, Books on the Square in Providence, where a nice lady from Campus Fine Wines made us a special literary-themed cocktail.
Then he posed with Books on the Square’s adorable manager, Jennifer, in her favorite section, mystery (oh wait, I should have let you guess that part).
What a great afternoon! Moonie suggests you go support your local bookstore. They’re good stuff.
Moonie likes to shop local, but he has trouble picking out just one thing. He’s a natural double-fister.
Moonie helped a bit at work today.
He’s a whiz in Excel.
I needed some groceries.
Moonie needed to check out the flower bouquets.
I was psyching myself up for public speaking with some whiskey. Moonie joined me for a shot or two.
You know how your soap runs out, and you go to rinse out the container for recycling, and it produces suds? And you find yourself thinking, “Wow, what a waste, all these suds could have gone to giving a troll doll a bubble bath in the sink”?
No?
Just me?
Well, Moonie enjoyed it.
Moonie explored The Giving Tree in Sandwich, MA. There were way too many things to see and play with.
First, he wanted to hug some fiddle heads.
Then, there were tempting sculptures to swing and play on.
