Hey, friends, guess-
Um, guess what-
Er, guess what tomorrow is-
Moonie, buddy, I thought we were going to give your friends a chance to guess what tomorrow-
Well, you’ll have to excuse Moonie. He’s a bit excited because tomorrow is PRONK! And that, of course, is his very favorite day of the year.
Last year he wrote a 72-staza PRONK opus, which was backed by a philharmonic orchestra and three kazoos. (I’d still like a word with whomever taught him the word “badonkadonk.” Given that not too many words rhyme with PRONK, it features heavily in the verses.)
So of course we were happy to go to the PRONK Family Day festivities in late August to start getting psyched up for PRONK.
Oh boy! There’s the What Cheer? Brigade. Moonie loooves the What Cheer? Brigade.
Whee!
Oh my goodness, even Big Nazo came out to dance to What Cheer.
And they formed a little musical tunnel for people to run under and through. Moonie rushed right in on his little bare feet!
Wow, so many people came out to have fun.
Ooh, there were even arts and crafts! Time for my little guy to make teeny footprints in the glitter.
But wait, what’s going on over there?
Oh my goodness, it was the Extraordinary Rendition Band getting ready to play next.
Moonie loooves ERB!
They immediately jumped into a litany of fun, familiar ERB tunes.
And, as they are family-friendly as well as political and environmental activists, they wasted no time encouraging kids to come make music with them.
So much fun!
They get really soulful during their rendition of “Killing Me Softly.”
Look at all these people (and one Moonie) having fun!
Big Nazo started a big dance circle to ERB’s tunes.
Even ERB members were having a ball!
Don’t miss ERB, What Cheer? Brigade, and tons of other bands tomorrow. Moonie has already memorized the schedule!
And if you can, please give to PRONK! Every little bit helps, as Moonie would be the first to tell you.
Keep an eye out for a nude little dude grooving to What Cheer? Brigade, ERB, and a host of national and international acts tomorrow. He’s easy to step on, but he says it won’t hurt!
